After an intensive local search, we are thrilled to announce that Mr. Andrew Fuller has been named principal at Carver STEAM Academy beginning the 2022-23 school year.
Mr. Fuller is an engaging, innovative and experienced school administrator and educator. He brings more than a decade of experience that includes leading a high performing charter school, as well as serving as assistant principal at both the John Lewis Invictus Academy and Benjamin E. Mays High School. Mr. Fuller’s educational career began as a classroom teacher and leader at KIPP Atlanta Collegiate and Tri-Cities High School.
Mr. Fuller brings extraordinary energy to this role, and his student-centered approach to teaching and learning fits perfectly with the Purpose Built Schools Atlanta project-based learning instructional model. Importantly, he brings a passion for college and career readiness arising from his time as a teacher and leader at the high school level.
We believe our Carver STEAM scholars, staff, and community will benefit tremendously from Mr. Fuller’s ability to empower our scholars and his experience, passion and skills to engage all stakeholders in the work of the school. Mr. Fuller will immediately begin working with Principal Yusuf Muhammad to start the transition process.
We also want to take this opportunity to thank Principal Muhammad for his extraordinary leadership during his tenure with PBSA. He has set Carver up for continued success and we are incredibly grateful for all he has done for our scholars. Please join us in wishing Principal Muhammad all the best in his future endeavors, and welcoming Mr. Fuller to the Purpose Built Schools Atlanta family!
With gratitude,
