Our highest priorities at Purpose Built Schools Atlanta are the safety, security, and well-being of our students, families, and employees.
Atlanta Public Schools has closed all schools for in-person instruction through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. This includes all Purpose Built Schools: Thomasville Heights Elementary School, Slater Elementary School, Price Middle School and Carver STEAM Academy.
Our schools are extremely special places. While the health and safety of our students and staff are our highest priorities, we’re disappointed that we won’t get to experience the warmth and positivity of our school hallways and classrooms every day.
However, we are committed to delivering the Purpose Built Schools’ culture to our students every day in their homes. We will continue making the virtual learning experience a nurturing, positive environment. Our online classrooms are still places where students can thrive and discover their full potential.
We are still determining how Carver STEAM Academy’s graduation ceremonies will be affected by the school’s closure. As soon as plans are decided, we will make an announcement.
