The Atlanta Community Food Bank provides monthly in-school and mobile food pantries for families at Carver STEAM Academy and Thomasville Heights Elementary School.

The Attorney Volunteer Lawyers Foundation provides legal support for families and an on-site community advocate at Thomasville Heights Elementary School, Slater Elementary School, Price Middle School and Carver STEAM Academy.

Bearings Bike Shop provides students with behavior challenges the opportunity to work on bike projects during the school day to build confidence and self-esteem.

The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization mentors 50 third, fourth and fifth graders at Thomasville Heights Elementary School.

Purpose Built Schools partners with Boy Scouts of America to offer a mentorship program for boys at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School, using leadership projects to build skills and confidence.

Camp Highland hosts Carver STEAM Academy students at their North Georgia camp site for an overnight trip with team-building activities and adventures. Price Middle School hosts an onsite Camp Highland experience of outdoor challenges for their students.


CHRIS180 provides on-site counseling and behavior support to students at Thomasville Heights Elementary School, Slater Elementary School, Price Middle School and Carver STEAM Academy.

The Communities in Schools Program empowers students at Price Middle School by providing direct support and helping them achieve at school and later in life.


COR is onsite at Carver STEAM providing a student hang out space, care coordination services, behavioral health support, prevention and early intervention training, and after-school programming, as well as free food, clothing, and hygiene products.

The CREATE Program provides teacher training and professional development at Purpose Built Schools to increase teacher effectiveness and retention through equity-centered, collaborative and reflective professional learning.


Epiq, through their Kids Technology Initiative, donated 300+ laptops, headsets, and other technology equipment to Thomasville Height Elementary School to address the “technology gap” facing low-income students during COVID-19 school closures. Epiq is a global technology-enabled corporation and legal services leader who believes that giving back to the communities their employees work in is a core value of their social responsibility.

START:ME is a partnership between Emory Goizueta Business School, Focused Community Strategies and Purpose Built Schools. They provide an intensive 14-session business training program to member of the south Atlanta community.

FuelEd prepares Purpose Built Schools educators with the science, skills, and self-awareness necessary to put relationships at the center of their classrooms.

Purpose Built Schools partners with Girl Scouts of America to offer a mentorship program for girls at Thomasville Height Elementary School and Slater Elementary School, using leadership projects to build skills and confidence.

The Georgia State University School of Music provides a weekly Sound Learning class to students a Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School to expose students to the benefits of music.

Horizons Atlanta partners with Purpose Built Schools on the implementation of our summer program, the PBSA/Horizons Summer Program, for kindergarten to fifth grade students at Slater Elementary School and Thomasville Heights Elementary School.

Kids Doc on Wheels is provides Slater Elementary School students a high quality and comprehensive pediatric care at school through an inaugural pilot program.

Lighthouse Vision offers vision screenings and glasses for students at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School.

Loews Atlanta Hotel is a partner of Slater Elementary. They provide critical donations that help fund enrichment classes like the Robotics Lab. The Loews Atlanta team reads to students each month and hosts our staff in Midtown for team-building events.

Mental Fitness partners with Purpose Built Schools to support STEAM programming at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School after school program.

Through the Push In and Pull Out program, the Mindful Life Project helps students at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School develop tools they need to cope with various situations.

The Bonner Scholars of Morehouse College volunteer and mentor students at Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School, offering a reading program and events throughout the year.

Next Generation Men/Women provides a mentoring program at Carver STEAM Academy to encourage students to be college or career ready upon graduating from high school.

OneGoal partners with Carver STEAM Academy by equipping teachers and guiding a cohort of students to achieve their greatest postsecondary aspirations.

Pace Academy students volunteer and tutor at Price Middle School and Thomasville Heights Elementary School, as well as provide book donations for our students.

Paideia supports the Thomasville Heights Elementary School Farm by providing supplies, trees and crops; teaching classes and after-school programs; and bringing students and community members to volunteer in the garden.

Teach for America partners with Purpose Built Schools by providing corps members to help implement our Summer Blast program and Middle School Leadership Academy during the summer.

The Center for Civil and Human Rights provides educational programming and project-based learning opportunities to our students, both at the Center and in our classrooms, and hosts student trips at their museum throughout the year. The Center for Civil and Human Rights hosts students from Carver STEAM Academy each summer as part of the Purpose Built Internship.

Purpose Built Schools partners with The Nature Conservancy to recruit community members and parents for their Green Ambassadors Program.


THREADS, operated by All Saints Episcopal Church in Midtown Atlanta, provides Thomasville Heights Elementary School and Slater Elementary School families with new and gently used clothing for newborns to 5th grade.

Upward Bound helps prepare Carver STEAM Academy students with the skills and motivation to succeed in and graduate from a college or university of their choice.


YMCA Villages at Carver provide a variety of student enrichment and support programs to students at Purpose Built Schools.
